Aether 912
Concept car for Gen Alpha, Design by Gen Z
The Aether 912 steering wheel is a sculptural reinterpretation of the primary human-machine interface in performance vehicles. Designed for the Aether 912 concept car, this steering module blends advanced materials, tactile focus, and reduced visual clutter to support an immersive, responsive driving experience.
Informed by both motorsport ergonomics and minimalist form language, the wheel redefines control through clarity and reduction, offering drivers a streamlined interface that celebrates intuition and performance.
It all begins with an idea.

Design Philosophy
The Aether 912 steering wheel is designed around the principle of intentional contact—every material, line, and control point has been considered for both sensory feedback and emotional engagement. The form is bold and assertive yet stripped of excess, reflecting the ethos of the Aether 912 as a vehicle that values purposeful performance over unnecessary complication.
The T-shape silhouette introduces a progressive take on the classic racing wheel, offering enhanced grip orientation, simplified feedback, and direct driver input. Its presence is assertive yet elegantly balanced—a physical extension of the vehicle’s precision.
Materiality & Build
The steering wheel features a tri-material system engineered for performance, tactility, and presence:
Aluminum Core Frame – Ensures rigidity and strength while maintaining a lightweight, responsive form.
Injection-Molded Rubberized Grips – Deliver high-friction zones for confident handling, even under dynamic driving conditions.
Satin Carbon Fiber or Anodized Trim – Offers visual contrast and a nod to high-performance automotive aesthetics.
Each material was chosen not just for appearance, but for the way it communicates motion, control, and flow—mirroring the vehicle’s aerodynamic language.
Functional Features
Minimal analog inputs for focus and ease—essential controls only.
Tactile feedback zones ensure responsive handling without distraction.
Integrated display/interface module (conceptual) for speed and navigation data.
Lightweight chassis aligns with performance-driven vehicle design.
